Krystal latex covers are the affordable solution for routine gynecology exams. EDM has created these latex, non-sterile probe covers to efficiently and economically protect patients and equipment from cross-contamination. They provide a solid barrier of protection against contaminants and bodily fluids, thereby making the cleaning and disinfection process faster and more efficient.
The high-quality, tear-resistant latex is not lubricated for infection control purposes. Krystal probe covers 1.4” x 7.9” while also very stretchable to accommodate larger transducers. Additionally, they are compatible with any sterile or non-sterile ultrasound gel.
Krystal probe covers are manufactured in line with the EDM standard of quality which has been trusted by medical professionals in Europe, the US, and beyond for over 30 years. They are approved by the FDA and designed to enhance patient safety.
It is important to note that ultrasound transducer covers DO NOT replace proper disinfection. Furthermore, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) require all semi-critical instruments (in contact with mucous membrane) to undergo high-level disinfection after each patient use.
