What does patient safety awareness mean to you?

To our team at EDM, it means knowing that we are doing the most in our power to keep patients safe. There is no single solution to the threats we face. Instead, it is the combination of several actions and solutions that promote patient safety. Ultimately, the most powerful agent in the equation of patient safety is not a product or protocol: it is you—the healthcare provider. Our action, or inaction, puts patients at risk.

That’s why, to kick off patient safety awareness month, EDM is rallying behind the idea that “Patient safety begins with ME!” Because it does begin with us, in every small interaction we have with patients.

To solidify our support for this initiative, we are providing awareness posters to healthcare facilities at no charge to you. We hope that they will serve to create a heightened awareness on the critical role healthcare staff play in patient safety.
