MIAMI, FL — EDM Medical Solutions, a leading provider of medical imaging supplies in the United States and abroad, today announced it has joined CHAMPS Group Purchasing as a supplier. This agreement with CHAMPS, a group purchasing organization (GPO) with more than 20,000 member locations nationwide, broadens the scope of EDM’s footprint in the US and gives its members access to its collection of medical imaging supplies and accessories.
For over 20 years, CHAMPS has provided over $40 million in annual savings to its members by offering an array of pre-negotiated contracts in medical and surgical supplies, pharmacy supplies, IT and wireless, and more. Now, EDM will be providing CHAMPS members with exclusive pricing on its range of medical imaging products, which includes ultrasound probe covers, ultrasound gel, endocavity needle guides, radiology monitors, and more.

Both of our organizations are aligned on the idea of providing healthcare facilities great products at cost-efficient prices, and at EDM, we really want to be able to provide more locations with the latest in medical imaging supplies and accessories,” said Benjamin El Koubi, Chief Operating Officer of EDM Medical Solutions.
EDM has been active in the medical imaging space since the 1980s when ultrasound was increasing in clinical use. The company began in France with the launch of its ultrasound gel formula – still used today – and expanded its product line gradually over the years.
“At this stage of our company’s history, EDM is able to provide ultrasound users with all they need to conduct their exams and procedures, whether they are interventional or diagnostic, endocavity or surface. We have many imaging supplies and accessories that some suppliers may consider ‘niche’, so I’m confident CHAMPS members will be able to count on us for these requests,” added El Koubi.
CHAMPS serves a wide variety of healthcare facilities, including hospitals, surgery centers, and acute care, across the country. Through the strategic expansion of its product line over the years, EDM is equipped to service these facilities as well with an offering that includes surgical scalpels and blades, radiation protection equipment, and surgical drapes and barriers. Additionally, the company’s medical imaging technology division, ERI, will provide CHAMPS member locations access to its broad collection of radiology monitors and displays, printers, surgical video cameras, recorders, and more.
