UP-X899MD Sony Video Printer
The UP-X899MD is a compact A6 black-and-white digital printer and the successor to Sony’s UP-X898MD medical printer. It delivers high-speed, high-quality black-and-white printing with enhanced image accuracy, an improved user interface and printing cutter, and upgraded environmental performance.
In high-speed mode, the UP-X899MD prints in approximately 2 seconds per image, with a normal-speed mode of approximately 3.8 seconds per image (at standard 1,280 x 960 dot setting).
The printer accepts both analog composite video (NTSC/PAL via BNC) and digital USB inputs, making it compatible with a wide range of ultrasound systems, mobile C-arms, and other imaging modalities. A Hi-Speed USB 2.0 Type-C port also lets the printer automatically store still images to a connected USB flash drive.
A redesigned front panel features a white backlit LCD and flat control buttons with a joystick for easier menu navigation, plus a manual lever that lets the door panel open even when the printer is powered off. The improved dual cutter allows prints to be cut upward or downward, making the UP-X899MD easy to install below the ultrasound console.
The UP-X899MD ships with a wide range of Windows 10/11 PC drivers, including a compatible mode for 898/897-series drivers, and uses Sony UPP-110 series thermal paper — the same media family used by the UP-897/UP-898 series printers: UPP110HD - UPP110HG - UPP110S.
This product is distributed in the US and EU as a medical device and satisfies product safety standards such as IEC 60601-1.
