Description
Parker UltraDrape - UGPIV Barrier & Securement
The Parker UltraDrape is a cutting-edge sheath for your Ultrasound-Guided Peripheral Intravenous procedures. It will reduce the time needed for accessing the vessel, while drastically reducing the chances of compromising your sterile field. As a result, the risk of infections is greatly diminished.
Thanks to its unique design, the UltraDrape serves two purposes: It will act as a physical barrier against cross-contamination during the UGPIV approach, and as a securement sheath when the catheter is in place (similar to wound dressings like Tegaderm). It will also eliminate the problem of securement failure as it reduces the number of steps required during the UGPIV. This product being a 2-in-1 solution, it is cost-effective and simplifies the logistics of your IV procedures.
The high-quality latex-free material has two main advantages: it allows for a sharp and clear visualization, and it can be used in all types of medical environments where latex is unsuitable. Of course, the Parker UltraDrape is sterile and comes individually pouched. Also, the UltraDrape material is remarkably stretchable and resistant to puncture to ensure a proper aseptic environment.
The protective film gives guidance to help perform the procedure safely and quickly, enabling a "no touch" aseptic procedure. The size of the UltraDrape, once in place, is 3 x 4 inches.
Finally, this UGPIV drape will also eliminate the need for a time-consuming clean-up usually required after catheter placements.
We recommend using EDM sterile gel for all your ultrasound-guided vascular procedures.
