Description
In-Situ Precision. Dual Firing Modes. One Device for Every Approach.
The MultiFire Disposable Automatic Core Biopsy Instrument is a single-use core needle biopsy gun built for interventional radiology, urology, hepatobiliary, and thyroid & breast procedures where lesion position and operator approach vary case to case. Its FIRM-CUT in-situ firing option lets clinicians collect a sample without advancing the needle tip further into tissue — useful when working near critical structures or when the lesion is already positioned at the needle tip.
MultiFire's double-click design supports both bottom firing and front firing, so the same device adapts to different hand positions and procedural approaches, while two selectable throw lengths let clinicians match specimen size to the target.
Why Clinicians Choose MultiFire
- FIRM-CUT in-situ firing — a semi-automatic firing option that collects the sample in situ, without further needle advancement, supporting more controlled sampling near sensitive anatomy.
- Variable throw lengths — 22 mm throw / 18 mm specimen or 17 mm throw / 13 mm specimen, selectable to match lesion size and access.
- Double-click design (bottom & front firing) — two firing button positions on the same device, giving clinicians flexibility to trigger the instrument in the way that best suits their grip and approach.
- Broad gauge and length range — available from 14G to 20G and 10 cm to 25 cm, covering a wide span of procedure types and target depths.
- Single-use, sterile device — eliminates reprocessing and cross-contamination risk, supporting infection-control protocols in radiology and procedure suites.
- Coaxial-compatible configuration available — select references pair with a matched coaxial introducer needle for multi-pass sampling through a single skin puncture, reducing patient trauma and procedure time.
Clinical Applications
MultiFire is validated for use across image-guided percutaneous biopsy procedures, including:
- Ultrasonic / Interventional Radiology — general core needle biopsy under ultrasound, CT, or MRI guidance
- Urology — prostate and renal mass biopsy protocols
- Hepatobiliary Surgery — liver lesion biopsy
- Thyroid & Breast Department — thyroid and breast nodule sampling
