Bard-Parker Safety Handles
The Bard-Parker® Safety Handle is a reusable handle designed for Bard-Parker Safety Blades. Made of durable metal, it comes with a weight and feel that is ideal for clinicians conducting surgical procedures.
This handle allows for easy one-handed activation and can be used by both right and left-handed individuals. It doesn't come sterile and should be used with appropriate sterilization techniques. Moreover, this tool is made without natural rubber latex, thereby accommodating most patients.
In addition to its practical features, the Safety Blade Handle helps reduce the risk of injuries from accidental blade exposure and helps facilities comply with OSHA and federal safety legislation. The CDC estimates that more than 1,000 injuries with sharp devices occur every day – a total of about 385,000 per year. Considering that 90% of those injuries occur with a contaminated sharp device, using safety handles can reduce the risk of injury in your facility.
