Bard-Parker Safety Blades
The Bard-Parker Safety Blades are sharp surgical blades designed for tissue separation or procedures involving punctures or cut. Made with stainless steel, they offer clinicians sharpness, control, and strength.
These safety blades feature a cover to protect the users during assembly and disposal, preventing accidental contact and injuries. This added protection can help your facility comply with OSHA and federal safety legislation. The CDC estimates that 385,000 injuries with sharp devices occur every year, meaning more than a 1,000 times a day.
Interestingly, enhancing security doesn't mean Bard-Parker reduced the ergonomic advantages of the product: the blade itself is the same high quality Bard-Parker blade as the non-safety one, and it can easily be activated with only one hand, no matter if the surgeon is right or left-handed. Even the handle was designed with a similar weight and metal feel as a conventional handle, smoothing the transition for the surgeon. Additionally, the sheath has an audible and tactical lock when the blade is fully covered or uncovered.
The Bard-Parker Safety Blades are intended to be used with the brand's reusable handles that have a conventional weight and feel.
Packaged in single units in sterile pouches and not made with natural rubber latex, Bard-Parker Safety Blades can accommodate most of your patients.
