Half Apron - Front Radiation Protection
Our EDM half aprons are designed to reduce patient exposure to radiation in interventional and diagnostic settings. It is a cost-efficient and durable solution, available in 4 different sizes and core materials.
The half lead apron offers optimal radiation protection for the wearer’s bottom half. It features a velcro-adjustable belt to fit any wearer without compromising freedom of movement. It also helps the radiologist to put it on and take it off quickly.
Keeping patients safe from radiation
The four different core materials available for the half apron ensure optimal radiation protection, and all four of them are IEC certified:
- Lead: our most affordable solution, offering a high level of radiation protection via its lead vinyl material. It has a kV class range of 50-150 kV.
- Ultralite Lead: 14% lighter than the standard lead option, it’s a lightweight, flexible option. Made from antimony, lead, and vinyl, it also offers a kV class range of 50-150 kV.
- Lead-free: another lightweight, flexible option, 18% lighter than our standard option. It is formulated from a mixture of antimony, plasticizers, and bismuth. Like the previous options, it has a kV class range of 50-150 kV.
- Bilayer: this option is 22% lighter than our standard version. It is lead-free and has a unique multi-layered design, each layer is composed of antimony and bismuth. It has a kV class range of 50-110 kV.
